August Lawn Care Tips for Middle TN

1️⃣ Keep Watering (But Smartly)

• Water early in the morning (before 10 AM) to reduce evaporation and prevent fungus.

• Deep watering 2–3 times per week is better than light daily watering.

2️⃣ Mow Higher for Health

• Keep cool-season grasses like fescue at 3.5–4 inches to protect roots from heat stress.

• Avoid cutting more than 1/3 of the blade at a time.

3️⃣ Watch for Summer Weeds

• Crabgrass, nutsedge, and spurge thrive in the heat—spot treat them now before they spread.

4️⃣ Plan for Fall Overseeding

• September - November is prime overseeding season for fescue lawns in our area—book with us today!
